Information We Collect
We collect information (Personal Data) that you provide to us through the registration process, such as your name, postal address, e-mail address, educational background, educational goals and interests. We collect Personal Data from students who enroll in our classes, use our online resources, work with a private tutor, and/or send us feedback. We may also collect Personal Data from our tutors.
Use of Your Personal Data
We may use your Personal Data in the following ways:

To fulfill your requests for products and services, such as matching you with a tutor, delivering educational content, or responding to a specific inquiry;

To customize your learning plan to you;

To administer, support, improve and develop our business; and

To send you information about Luminary Tutoring products or services.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
We do not share your Personal Data with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may disclose your Personal Data in response to legal process, to protect our rights, as otherwise required by law, or for the prevention or detection of a crime. If we sell our company or part of it, or our business enters into a joint venture with another business entity, we may disclose your Personal Data to our new business partners or owners who may then provide you with information about their products and services.

Refund Policy
​A 100% refund will be issued if you have not yet been matched with a tutor or have been matched with a tutor for less than 2 days. No refunds will be given if you have been matched with a tutor for more than 2 days. If you are matched with a tutor. If a tutoring program has started and you would like to terminate the program, a 40% refund will be issued.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy
At Luminary Tutoring, we strive to provide quality and flexible learning experiences for our students. In order to accommodate all of our clients and maintain the effectiveness of our scheduling, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:

Cancellations or Rescheduling:

If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, we require at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled session time.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the full session fee being charged.

Missed Sessions:

If a student does not attend a scheduled session without prior notification (a “no-show”), the full session fee will also be charged.

Emergency Exceptions:

We understand that emergencies happen. In cases of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), exceptions to the 24-hour notice requirement may be considered at the discretion of Luminary Tutoring. Please contact us as soon as possible in these situations.

How to Cancel or Reschedule:

To cancel or reschedule a session, please notify your tutor using email or phone at least 24 hours in advance.

Credits and Refunds:

If a session is canceled within the 24-hour window, and the fee is charged, no refund will be issued. However, credits may be applied to future sessions at the company’s discretion.
